Wheelchair Rugby is an aggressive, high-impact sport and the equipment, as a result, must be robust yet agile. The strength of our RMA Sport Rugby Wheelchair design is a culmination of the experience, techniques, and materials that we use.
We manufacture rugby wheelchairs for offense and defense from beginner to an elite level of performance. Every rugby wheelchair, no matter the fit, is handmade to the same rigorous standards in Bridgend, South Wales.
Using our patented Contour Body Mapping® System we are able to manufacture a completely bespoke, high-performance rugby wheelchair.
The RMA Sport Elite Pro Rugby Wheelchair takes full of our fitting process, allowing the athlete to undergo a second fitting session. This ensures the rugby wheelchair meets the athlete’s specifications and requirements.
Spinergy Wheels are also supplied with all Elite Pro rugby wheelchairs as standard.

Our Pro rugby wheelchair model was designed for athletes who were unable to take advantage of the Contour Body Mapping® System.
Still fully bespoke and made to measure, the Pro rugby wheelchair uses a prescription form to develop your rugby wheelchair.
RMA Sport Pro rugby wheelchairs are manufactured to the same standards and with the same high-quality materials as our Elite Pro wheelchairs. Spinergy Wheels also come as standard on the Pro models.
Our Club rugby wheelchair range consists of 5 standard seat width sizes 380mm, 410mm, 430mm, 460mm, and 480mm. These Rugby Wheelchairs are built from the same lightweight aluminium as our made to measure range.
24″ Spinergy Wheels and full-rim wheel guards come as standard on our Club rugby wheelchair range.
The RMA Sport Youth rugby wheelchair range has been specially designed for the fast-growing market. The range consists of 3 different seat widths 320mm, 380mm and, 420mm.
Just like our Club wheelchair range, our Youth rugby wheelchairs come with 24″ Spinergy Wheels and full-rim wheel guards as standard.
Our wheelchair rugby range has an aluminium frame reinforced with titanium liners and a high carbon steel bumper. Heat treating is an extra step that we take once fabrication is complete. Every inch of the frame is then personally inspected by one of our skilled technicians.
Within the Rugby Wheelchair range – there is a choice of Elite Pro, Pro, Club and Youth chairs.
RMA Sport’s Elite Pro Rugby Wheelchairs are fully bespoke and made to measure, which involves utilising our patented Contour Body Mapping® fitting process, that allows us to take measurements to within two decimal points of a person’s optimum seating position – or we can build Club chairs that can be used within a team environment, this can be achieved through selecting from a series of standard size options.
